Paris Seville Suffolk

"Oooh that's my favourite part of Paris", was the universal reaction about the 18th arrondissement when we bought the apartment. Quirky, arty, very Parisian, full of wonderful bars, restaurants and original shops who doesn't like Montmartre?
Won't you be the smug one in the Sacré Coeur or the Moulin Rouge knowing that you've paid the same as someone in a drab 2 star hotel? Remember them, as you sip a coupe de champagne under the chandelier in the bedroom.
The flat is located on 11, Rue Duhesme, Montmartre, Paris. It is five minutes walk to the metro station of Lamark-Caulaincourt. All the local amenities are very close to hand, your boulangerie is on the corner and there is a delightful Swiss grocer in Rue Duhesme who seems to sell everything at any hour. Hyperchondria is firmly embedded in the French psyche so a pharmacy is never far away, three minutes in fact, complete with several anxiety-ridden Frenchmen clutching ointment.
A little further down, you will find Rue Damrémont which has an excellent deli, cheese shop, wine merchants and more diet wrecking cake shops. There are bars, cafés and restaurants all around. An information pack is provided at the flat with the addresses of all the things you'll need.
10-15 minutes stroll away is Abbesses. This is where you'll find Place du Tertre full of artists and cafés, touristy but really worth a visit. The world famous Sacré Coeur is a must and has a magnificent view of Paris. A word to the wise, Montmartre is busy and lively. It has Paris' only vineyard, lots of bars and restaurants. There is lots to do, it's quirky and very Parisian, but in the centre of Abbesses in the evening it can be very noisy. The trick is to stay somewhere a little quieter, where you can join in the fun, but still be able to get a good night's sleep. Our flat allows you to enjoy the bars and cafés yet you will be glad to be able to sleep without having to listen to 3am renditions of "I will survive"!
